Best Web Design and Development Studios for Startups in 2026
· By Sandipan
The best web design and development studio for a startup depends on three things: your stage, who will edit the site after launch, and whether you need product screens designed as well as a website. This guide compares eight studios that work with startups, by what each one is best suited to.
A note on bias. We're Rivento Studio, and we're on this list. We haven't hired the other seven. What we say about them comes from their own websites, checked in October 2026, so confirm the details with each studio before you decide. Where another studio is the better fit, we say so.
The short answer
| Studio | Best suited to | Builds on |
|---|---|---|
| Rivento Studio | Pre-seed to Series A founders in Tech, SaaS and AI who want one small team | Framer, Webflow, WordPress, custom code |
| Ramotion | Funded tech companies that need brand, website and product design together | Not tied to one platform |
| Refokus | B2B startups whose brand and site have fallen behind the company | Webflow |
| Flow Ninja | Scaleups with a marketing team that works in Webflow every day | Webflow |
| BRIX Agency | Tech companies that want a choice of no-code platforms | Webflow, Framer, WordPress |
| Goodspeed | Funded B2B SaaS startups building in Framer | Framer, Bubble |
| Halo Lab | Teams that want design, engineering and marketing from one supplier | React, Next.js, Webflow and others |
| Significa | Startups building the product itself, not only a website | Custom product builds |
How we chose
This is a shortlist, not a ranking. Each studio here works with startups or tech companies, both designs and builds, and says clearly how it works or what it builds on. Plenty of good studios aren't on it.
The studios
Rivento Studio
That's us: two people. Baishali leads design and Sandipan leads development, and the same two take every project from the first call to launch. We design and build websites and product dashboards in Framer, Webflow, WordPress or custom code, and most sites are typically live in 2-3 weeks.
Best suited to: pre-seed to Series A founders in Tech, SaaS and AI who need to look credible quickly and want to talk to the people doing the work.
Look elsewhere if: you need a large team, a brand campaign or a mobile app.
Ramotion
Ramotion is a design agency with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. It covers branding, web design, UI and UX, design systems and web app development, and its clients run from startups to large technology companies.
Best suited to: a funded startup that wants its brand, website and product interface designed as one system.
Look elsewhere if: you're at pre-seed and mainly need a site live in weeks.
Refokus
Refokus is based in New York and works with B2B technology startups and venture firms. It combines brand strategy and identity with website design and development, and it builds in Webflow.
Best suited to: a B2B startup that has outgrown its first brand and website and wants both redone together.
Look elsewhere if: you don't want your site on Webflow.
Flow Ninja
Flow Ninja builds only in Webflow, and has done since 2015. It has offices in Belgrade, Serbia, and in the United States. Beyond design and build, it runs Webflow sites for marketing teams on an ongoing basis, including SEO.
Best suited to: a scaleup with an active marketing team that publishes often and wants continuing Webflow support.
Look elsewhere if: this is your first site and you need something small.
BRIX Agency
BRIX Agency makes websites for technology companies, from startups to larger ones. It works across Webflow, Framer and WordPress, and also offers UI and UX design, brand design and conversion work.
Best suited to: a tech company that wants a marketing site on a no-code platform and hasn't yet decided which.
Look elsewhere if: you need custom-coded product screens.
Goodspeed
Goodspeed builds in Framer and Bubble for funded startups and growth-stage B2B SaaS companies. Alongside websites it produces landing pages and pitch decks, and it can work as an embedded team.
Best suited to: a funded SaaS startup that has chosen Framer and wants ongoing help rather than a single project.
Look elsewhere if: you want WordPress or Webflow.
Halo Lab
Halo Lab is a design and technology agency with offices in Warsaw and Boston. It offers design, development in React, Next.js, Vue and Webflow, and marketing services such as SEO and content.
Best suited to: a team that wants design, engineering and marketing from a single supplier.
Look elsewhere if: you'd rather work directly with a team of two or three.
Significa
Significa is a design-led product studio in Porto, Portugal. Strategy, design and engineering work as one team on web, mobile and e-commerce products.
Best suited to: a startup building the product itself, where the website is only one part of the job.
Look elsewhere if: you only need a marketing site.
How to choose
- By stage. Before Series A you mostly need a clear, credible site, fast. A small studio is usually enough. After a larger raise, a bigger team that can also run brand and marketing may be worth it.
- By who edits the site. If marketing will update it weekly, pick a platform they can run: Framer for a smaller site that changes often, Webflow for a larger one with a CMS, WordPress if a blog sits at the centre. Choose custom code when the site needs product-like features.
- By whether you need product screens too. If you also need a dashboard or onboarding flow, choose a studio that does both, so the product and the website look like the same company.
Whoever you speak to, ask four things: who actually does the work, what is in the written scope, who owns the design and code at the end, and what happens after launch.
Common questions
How much does a startup website cost?
It varies too widely by studio size, platform and scope for a single number to be useful. Ask for a written scope with a fixed price before any work starts, and compare what each price includes.
How long does a startup website take?
A small studio can typically launch a marketing site in 2-3 weeks. Larger agencies and bigger scopes take longer, so ask for the timeline in writing.
Should a startup use Framer, Webflow, WordPress or custom code?
Framer is quick to launch and easy to edit. Webflow suits bigger, content-heavy sites. WordPress fits when a blog or specific plugins matter. Custom code is for sites that behave like part of the product.
